Welcome to Year 3 with Mrs Main
Resources
Remote Learning
welcome to Year 3.
Welcome to the Spring Term. Our Science topics will be 'Rocks' - we will be finding out how different rocks are formed and their features. We will also be fnding out about famous scientists. If time allows us, we will be delving into the mysterious lives of earthworms, too.
Our Topic this term is 'Extreme Earth', whih involves finding out about volcanoes, tsunamis and other wonders of the Earth.
A book related to both the Rocks and Extremem Earth topics, is 'The Pebble in My Pocket' by Meredith Hooper. We will be doing work related to this book later on in the term. If you are able to obtain it for your child, it would be really useful. The illustrations are so engaging, with lots to look at.
Thanks for your continued support in these strange times. Although I am fiinding it rewarding learning new technology, there may be slight glitches along the way.
Take care and stay safe.
Spellings will be given out on a Wednesday to practise ready for short dictation the following Wednesday. Activities to help your child learn will be available on Purplemash.
