PACC (parent and carer council) are a point of contact for parents that may need support in navigating the SEND system. They aim to ensure Parent Carers are informed with accurate and appropriate information. They provide information and signposting to support families to make informed decisions the care they and their families receive.

Latest Shropshire SEND Updates
BeeU provides emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (ages 0 to 25) in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
The service provides:
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (0-25)
- Neurodevelopmental assessments for children – autism for 5-18 year olds, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for 6-18 year olds
- Community Eating Disorder Services for 0-18 year olds
Autism West Midlands

(AWM) supports families who live in the Shropshire Council area who have children under 18 years old, with autism or autistic traits. AWM can help you to understand autism and how you can support and help your child. They offer lots of free support and organise lots of fun events for you to attend.
AWM is funded by Shropshire Council and NHS Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group to provide autism-specific support for Shropshire families. No diagnosis is needed to access the free support. Follow the link below to find out more:
Shropshire IASS
Shropshire Information, advice, and support service is a free, confidential and impartial service for children and young people that are aged between 0 – 25 years, with SEND, and their parents, living in Shropshire. IASS offers parents and young people supports around any concerns they might have around special educational needs and /or disability (SEND) and explains your options, rights and responsibilities. IASS staff provide information and advice relating to education, health and social care, including SEN / disability law and national and local policy. They can signpost you to additional local and national sources of information. They can also help with paperwork and preparation for meetings, discussing what questions to ask and empowering you to share your views. They can explain jargon to help your understanding.
